So you picked Portsmouth? Us too! Stanhope House is our brand spanking new student accommodation, all ready for September 2019. You’ll find us slap bang in the heart of the city, just a 5 minute walk (or 3 minute dash) from the University campus. Right opposite Victoria Park, the shops and rail station are on our doorstep, and the Student Union and University library are less than 10 minutes’ walk away. We’re the striking 19-storey, 256-bed building – you can’t miss us, and you won’t want to.

Everyone’s different. So whether you want a studio or apartment all to yourself, or fancy sharing a 4 – 6 bed apartment, we can accommodate you. Whichever you choose, you’ll get a comfy small double bed, study area, superfast broadband, and use of all the incredible facilities on-site (more on that later). Every room also comes with its very own fully kitted out ensuite, so you can hop out of bed and into the shower. No queuing, no lugging your wash bag around, and no quibbles about cleaning. Our shared flats have a shared kitchen, with a free to use washer/dryer, dishwasher, huge fridge/freezer, and plenty of space to relax in front of the TV (yes we provide this too!) with your flatmates. Fancy looking out across the city and sea? Choose a room on the higher floors – the sights are stunning from 19 floors up.

Cheesy tunes at Popworld, an endless supply of traditional pubs, the quirky South Coast Emporium… you’ll never be bored in Portsmouth. But it’s not only the city that has a lot to offer. Want room to hang out? On pretty much every one of our floors you’ll find spaces to study or get together. Try the Common Room, the Gaming Room, a choice of TV spaces, Table Tennis, the Library and a choice of large, themed dining spaces. Up for karaoke? Yes, we even have a Karaoke Room!  Or how about a movie night? Well, you really should make the most of the plush Cinema Room. Just don’t forget the popcorn.

Payment Options

 

Payment can be made using one of the following options:

1) A single payment in advance.
2) Three termly payments.

 

 

Deposit

 

Following a successful application all we require is your deposit payment of £250 to secure your room. This deposit is subject to the cancellation policy; see below.

 

Please note that payment of the deposit is a term of the tenancy agreement. The deposit will be returned at the end of the tenancy less any deductions for breakages, damages or losses by the tenant.

 

 

Prices and Booking Information

 

Termly payment plans are only available to those with a UK based guarantor. If no UK based guarantor is provided, the prospective tenant will be required to pay annually before the Tenancy starts.

 

Please be aware that you must be a full time student to be exempt from council tax.

Cancellations

1. Unless the Tenancy Agreement has already commenced (meaning the Tenancy Start Date is on or before the date the Tenancy Agreement is dated) you may cancel your Tenancy Agreement (by giving us written notice of cancellation) at any time during the period ending on the date 14 days after the date we confirm your booking is complete (the “Initial Cancellation Period”). If you cancel the Tenancy Agreement during the Initial Cancellation Period, we will make no charge and will return to you your Security Deposit in full.

 

2. Outside the Initial Cancellation Period, you will remain liable for the rental monies due under the Tenancy Agreement for the whole of the Tenancy Period or until a replacement tenant (who is satisfactory to the Landlord) is found for your Room.  If the Tenancy Agreement is cancelled and a replacement tenant is found after the cooling off period but before the start date of the tenancy, an administration fee of £50 will be charged prior to Prime processing your cancellation and accepting the replacement tenant. If a replacement tenant is found after you have moved in after the start date of your tenancy, an administration/cleaning fee of £150 will be charged prior to Prime processing your cancellation and accepting the replacement tenant. If we confirm to you that a satisfactory replacement tenant has been found for your Room, and the cancellation fee has been paid, we will then release you from your Tenancy Agreement with effect from the start date of the new tenancy agreement with the replacement tenant. The entering into a new tenancy agreement with a replacement tenant will be entirely at the discretion of the Landlord/Management Company.
